  Wesley Korir  was born near Kitale, Kenya and graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Biology. He is a retired professional runner, whose career highlights include winning the 2012 Boston Marathon and competing in the 2016 Rio

Wesley Korir was born near Kitale, Kenya and graduated from the University of Louisville with a degree in Biology. He is a retired professional runner, whose career highlights include winning the 2012 Boston Marathon and competing in the 2016 Rio Olympics. In 2013 Wesley was elected to Kenya’s parliament, where he served four years. After leaving government, he continued to serve his community by embarking on ambitious projects such as a school for disadvantaged children, a dairy cooperative, and numerous other projects from microfinance to manufacturing. He was an original board member of the Kisii Eye Hospital and is currently serving as CEO of Transcend Eye Hospital.

  Lisa Tayeri  has worked extensively in the nonprofit sector since 1996.  In addition to co-founding the Fiat Lux Foundation in 2010, Lisa has played an active role in the Junior League of Palo Alto Mid Peninsula, serving on the organization's

Lisa Tayeri has worked extensively in the nonprofit sector since 1996.  In addition to co-founding the Fiat Lux Foundation in 2010, Lisa has played an active role in the Junior League of Palo Alto Mid Peninsula, serving on the organization's Endowment Board and Board of Directors for four years. Currently she volunteers as a community consultant at The Children's Health Council and is on the fundraising committee of Vista Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.  Lisa graduated from UC Berkeley with a degree in history and has a Master's Degree in Education from UCLA.
